UTARPA is University of Toronto’s Japanese Animation Club. Situated in the heart of the new Megacity of Toronto, we not only serve the students of UofT, but also the general populus. In operation since May 1995, we are Toronto’s oldest established and quite possibly the largest Japanese Anime club in the city.

Our primary mandate is to provide and promote Japanese animation (also known as “anime”) in the city of Toronto. To that end, we have anime showings once a month, lasting approximately 6 hours each, where our membership gathers to watch animations of primary Japanese origin (subtitled or dubbed in English). Our shows also include music, raffle draws, and other tidbits, usually of Japanese origin or of common interest.

Membership is open to everyone and currently costs only $6 for three months.
